AC Milan coach Filippo Inzaghi has said that he is unhappy with the result against Fiorentina on Sunday night.
The Rossoneri and La Viola drew 1-1 at the San Siro, and the former striker has said that he is unhappy with the result.
“I’m disappointed about the outcome,” he told Sky. “The result is a little bitter.”
The former striker then went on to say that this was one of his side’s best games of the season in terms of defending, as well as saying that the players gave their all.
“Finishing in third? We won’t claim anything yet,” he said. “It would’ve been great to win a third consecutive game.
“From a defensive point of view, this was Milan’s best game.
“[Fernando] Torres? He still needs a bit of time; I chose to start [Jeremy] Menez because of his pace.
“The boys cannot be blamed for anything, we mustn’t forget that Fiorentina have won their previous three games at the San Siro.
“Fiorentina are a great team aiming for a UEFA Champions League place, and we were at their level.
“However, we can still improve.”
It is also worth mentioning that the Rossoneri’s upcoming game is away to Cagliari on Wednesday.
